Blah Blah Blah is a publication that brings together various texts that inform our understanding of identity and how these identities are flattened in the design world today in striving to assimilate with the “mythical norm”. The flip book format allows writings from Audre Lorde, Legacy Russell, Walt Whitman, E. Jane and Paula Scher to be referenced against each other, learnt from and further understood in conjunction with each other.
The book is accompanied by a group workshop that invites the reader to visualise their identity and experiences using the language of design and diversity that often overlap: margins, centre, scale, hierarchy, intersection etc.
